With her bold styling, huge cockpit, and luxurious interior the Sea Ray 400 Express Cruiser was considered a state-of-the-art boat when she was first introduced in 1992. This was the long-awaited replacement model for the 390 Express Cruiser, and while she has less beam than her predecessor, she was a big step up in luxury and appearance. Built on a deep-V hull with solid fiberglass bottom, the two stateroom interior of the 400 Express offers comfortable accommodations for six. The master stateroom includes a pedestal island berth as well as a TV and a privacy door, and a circular pocket door closes off the starboard sitting room, converting it into a private stateroom with a full-size bed and convertible upper bunk. A separate shower stall is found in the head, and the large galley includes a breakfast bar and generous storage. On deck, double helm and companion seats are forward in the cockpit, while U-shaped seating aft converts into a sun pad. An extended swim platform was a popular option in later models. This Sea Ray 400 EC has got to be the nicest one of its vintage on the market...period! She has been shed kept in the fresh waters of the upper Chesapeake Bay since new by her current, original owners. Pride of ownership by knowledgeable, avid long time boaters shows! She has received fresh oil changes every season, while her exterior receives a full stem-to-stern, inside-and-out detailing every Spring, while receiving regular washing and shining every week of the season by a professional detailing team. Every nook and cranny of this vessel is spotless and every surface shines!

Earlier this season (2014) she was hauled, bottom cleaned, inspected and found be be completely blister-free before receiving fresh bottom paint and new anodes.

Her cockpit upholstery is in perfect, flawless condition with no rips, tears or discoloration. Her canvas and eisenglass are pristine and crystal clear. Her fuel-sipping diesels combined with her large fuel capacity of 300 gallons means you can cruise a long range. Keep her at a respectable 24 knots and you'll sip fuel at about 19 gallons an hour...giving you a range of over 300 miles!

Every once in a while, a vessel comes along that wows us with her condition and appearance. This is one of those times.
