At the stern, the 240 Sundeck features a full beam swim platform with the engine conveniently located beneath a wide sun pad behind the aft cockpit seat. This sun pad comfortably accommodates two people and includes two drink holders and a small storage cubby to port. Beneath the sun pad is a wet storage compartment with drainage into the bilge, which benefits from engine heat to help dry wet items such as swimsuits and towels. Forward access is facilitated not only via the swim platform but also through a hatch that provides storage space shared by an anchor with keeper and a four-step beach reboarding ladder. To starboard, an optional freshwater shower is available for rinsing off sand before boarding. The foredeck is fully non-skid and accessible via a hatch cover step in the bow, which serves as both an egress point when docking or beaching and a diving platform. The bow area capitalizes on the boat’s generous 8 foot 6 inch beam carried far forward, creating an expanded footwell and a less cramped seating arrangement.
