This vessel is stored under cover with its cover on. Low 165 engine hours that can be confirmed at the service department. The hull bottom is in great shape as it has mainly been in fresh water. This model combines thoughtful design, quality materials, and advanced features, positioning it as a standout in the midsize recreational boat market.

Helm and Exterior Design

At the helm, Sea Ray has implemented a clean and uncluttered layout that prioritizes functionality and aesthetics. The dashboard features four anti-fog gauges with chrome bezels mounted on a glare-reducing panel, complemented by a SmartKraft gauge offering selectable information to minimize visual clutter. The dual-tone vinyl upholstery, with a light tan lower panel and a dark brown sunshade brow, further reduces glare. An optional compass is positioned to the left of the panel, while custom embroidery adds a refined touch. Two carbon fiber sub-panels house lighted rocker switches and a stereo remote, and a cleverly angled storage cubby prevents items from spilling during throttle adjustments. Our test boat was equipped with an optional 250 horsepower Mercury Verado four-stroke outboard, with standard power being 175 horsepower and a 200 horsepower option also available. The transom is positioned forward enough to allow the engine to tilt fully out of the water. Recognizing the challenges of daily engine checks on outboards, Sea Ray designed platforms on either side of the engine well, providing secure footing for maintenance tasks. This design facilitates easy removal of the engine cowl and access to routine checks and minor maintenance, enhancing overall usability.

Performance and Handling

The Sea Ray 220 Sundeck OB measures 20 feet in length overall, with a beam of 8 feet 4 inches and a draft of 3 feet 3 inches. While aggressive maneuvers can induce propeller ventilation, normal operation remains stable, and lowering trim alleviates ventilation. The digital throttle ensures instantaneous response, and the boat tends to lose speed in turns, warranting added power when cornering.
