The sound insulated engine compartment and seat are flanked by aft jump seats that easily convert to a lounger for sunning. If even more seating space is needed, an optional portside back-to-back lounger is also available. No matter how much gear comes aboard the Sea Ray 215 Express Cruiser, there's plenty of space for it in the cockpit side panel storage compartments, complete with rod storage and ski racks. There's even more storage space in the floor in a removable bin. A carry-on cooler with its own storage compartment on the passenger side keeps snacks and beverages readily available. When it's necessary to access the foredeck, integral steps allow sure-footed movement via the walk-through windshield. And the cockpit has a convenient snap-in carpet liner. The 215 Express Cruiser even comes with a standard Clarion digital cassette stereo with four waterproof speakers and a cockpit remote control. Below, a lockable sliding door opens to reveal a roomy cabin with marine-grade carpet, 12V lighting, and abundant storage. Here, the galley makes life easy with an insulated ice chest, freshwater sink, and standard pressurized water system. After dining on the V-berth table, it is easily stowed away so that two can rest in comfort on the upholstered V-bunk with filler cushions. There is also a portable head with privacy curtain. On the technical side, the Sea Ray 215 Express Cruiser has all the bells and whistles including power steering, power tilt and trim, a switch panel with illuminated weatherproof rocker switches featuring ISO symbols, an automatic bilge pump, electric bilge blower, and audible engine alarms for oil and water. There is also a tachometer with built-in hourmeter to take the guesswork out of scheduled maintenance. All gauges feature Sea Ray's anti-glare coating. The standard power plant on the 215 Express Cruiser is a 5.0L Alpha I MCM stern drive with 220 horsepower.
