Beautifully maintained 2017 Scout 225 Dorado, low hours, camper canvas, head, ready to hit the water!
This 2017 Scout 225 Dorado hits the sweet spot for anyone looking for a do-it-all family boat with legit offshore capability. It's powered by a Yamaha F200XB four-stroke that offers solid midrange punch and smooth cruising, all while staying easy on fuel. At just over 22 feet, it's small enough to tow and manage solo, but big enough to handle open water when things get a little choppy -- which is where that deep forward entry and flared bow really come into play. The ride is dry, predictable, and gets high marks from owners for its handling in rougher bay or coastal conditions.
One of the big reasons people lean toward the 225 Dorado is how it balances family comfort with real fishing utility. There's plenty of cushioned seating for cruising or sandbar days, including a full bow setup, a forward-facing lounge, and a fold-down bench in the back. When it's time to fish, you've got rod holders, a livewell, under-gunwale storage, and an open cockpit that's easy to move around in. It's not trying to be a hardcore fishing rig, but it holds its own.
This boat has a clean helm setup with a Garmin GPS/fishfinder combo, a VHF radio, and a Fusion stereo with Bluetooth. You'll also find a freshwater washdown system, a swim ladder, trim tabs, and a walk-through windshield for easy bow access. Inside the head, there's a portable Camco toilet.
It's a great fit for someone who wants a sharp-looking dual console that works just as well pulling into a dockside lunch spot as it does chasing redfish or cruising to the island with family on board!
