A boat as beautiful as Megabite deserves the kind of attention and commitment to maintenance that is necessary to keep a classic Custom Carolina boat looking and operating at a high level. This labor of love requires not only time, patience and expense but also a willingness to follow through and always do things right. Once you see her, It is immediately apparent that her current owner has done just that...
SInce she was brought back from the Gulf to her original home in Dare County, NC in 2021, she has been constantly maintained and updated inside and out, to a standard that not many owners are willing to embrace. Her recently painted exterior finish has been continuously managed by a professional detail company with seasonal polishing and annual ceramic coating of the hull and topsides. All varnished brightwork has also been kept up and reapplied each Spring. Her 2025 engine service also included aftercooler removal, cleaning and pressure testing. Her interior was totally revamped a few years ago to maximize space, comfort and accessibility while maintaining a clean, classy look throughout. All new electronics, LP plugs, beefy backbars, Ice Maker, new teaser reels, AC systems, StarLink and a host of other recent add ons, just serve to make your daily fishing experience even more enjoyable.
Performance-wise, she cruises at a smooth 26 kt at 2950rpm and 31.5 kt at 3550rpm. She handles great, rides well in a sea for a boat of her size and fishes like you would imagine, given her cockpit layout and fishing equipment. She holds 460 gal of fuel as well, so that makes a lot of things possible on the Worldwide scene these days...
