The Bristol Channel Cutter is a Sam L. Morse masterpiece that for decades has been the pocket yacht of choice for true bluewater cruisers. The BCC is a sturdy fiberglass pilot cutter based off the Lyle Hess wooden cutter designs. Morse�s tribute to the pilot cutters is equally as beautiful as the original wooden boats with classic lines, generous exterior wood features and modern day fiberglass longevity and top quality materials throughout.
This is one of the very early BCCs ever made. Like all BCCs this one tells an interesting story, after leaving Morse�s facility the boat was scheduled to be finished offsite. However the original owner was never able to launch the boat. In 1998 the new owner finished the interior and in 2002 installed a new mast, boom, sails and standing rigging and the boat was finally launched for the first time. Today�s owner purchased the boat in 2015 and wanted to restore this vessel to bristol quality. Over the last few years the boat has been completely refit making it the nicest BCC for its age. No expense was spared, from new mahogany bulwarks, new white oak cover and striker boards , new marine plywood headliner, full refinish of all woodwork, new engine, transmission, rigging and more, this is the boat to buy!
