The Sabreline 36 Fast Trawler's modified V-hull design leaves traditional trawlers behind, reaching top speeds of over 20 knots. The 36 has a spacious command bridge with pedestal chairs for captain and mate and bench seating for six. The helm console supplements the interior helm down below with duplicate instrumentation and room for optional electronics. On the bridge, an optional table with fold-down leaves is available. Other options include an aluminum mast to carry radar antenna or a trawler-style aluminum mast and boom to launch your dingy. The inside control station offers excellent visibility, and has a sliding door to starboard for communicating with the crew. A large chart table to port and a pull-out shelf over the forward companionway keep navigation equipment close by. Large windows all around the spacious main salon provide excellent visibility and abundant natural lighting Sliding doors port and starboard offer easy access to wide walk-around side decks. The main salon also serves as a sleeping cabin. The dining table is adjustable, high to low, and the L-shaped settee which surrounds it converts to a double berth. The aft stateroom of the 36 offers contemporary styling, plush carpeting, and warm lighting. The spacious aft head features a large counter, sink, and a separate shower stall. The forward head is convenient to guest sleeping quarters. The L-shaped galley features a double, polished stainless steel sink, a three-burner propane stove with oven, and a full-size 12-110-V electric refrigerator with freezer Powered by twin diesels, she will motor quietly at displacement speeds below 10 knots and is designed to be fuel efficient at cruising speeds of 15 to 20 knots. She has a modified deep-V hull with a 20-degree deadrise angle amidship and 14 degrees at the transom. The bow is relatively fine for seakindliness in rough conditions and has a pronounced chine strake with 3-degree reverse angle for the added lift and spray deflection. The hull and deck are made of hand-laminated fiberglass mat and knitted roving with balsa core as a stiffener. Sabre increases hull durability by incorporating vinylester resin and ISO NPG gelcoat into the DuraLam protection system. SABERLINE FEATURES: - Strategically positioned handrails and steps (instead of ladders) provide security on deck. - The interior is finished with varnished teak or cherry. - The command bridge offers expansive storage, accessible through doors beneath the steering station. - The main cabin windows are positioned to provide an excellent view when sitting at the settee or working in the galley. - A partial centerline skeg enhances low speed cruising through improved tracking. - An aggressive anti-skid pattern on wide side decks allows safe and easy movement underway. - High performance hull design is combined with true cruising trawler accommodations.
