2021 Sabre 48 Salon Express Boat in Greenport, NY 11944 US

The 48 Salon Express has a traditional exterior profile that belies her contemporary performance. She cruises at 27 knots and, and at wide open throttle, she’ll attain more than 32 knots. Pod drives and joystick controls give every owner-operator the confidence to dock her in the most difficult of circumstances, and remarkably low sound levels while underway allow for a more pleasant experience while cruising.

Featuring a standard configuration of two cabins and two heads, the 48 Salon Express is supplemented by a utility space forward of the engine room that can be laid out as additional crew quarters. Designed with our customers in mind, her galley-down layout doesn’t compromise on space and light, making food and drink preparation a pure pleasure. Unique to the Sabre 48 design, her master berth and en-suite head have an athwartships orientation, allowing for flat cabin sole on all side of the spacious island queen.

Forward Cabin and Head

• Shoji door to forward cabin
• Add a single ss cup holder behind the forward sink
• Install a corian fiddle outboard in the forward head
• Build a cabinet behind the door to hold a small trash can in head
• Install acrylic divider panels between head and shower
• Delete sliding cabinet doors and build swing doors
• Replace cherry trim in shower with acrylic
• Install second cherry towel rack on inside of door

Master Cabin and Head

• Corian counter with radius and corian undermount sink in master head in lieu of cherry counter and vessel sink w/ vessel faucet.  Add 3" matching corian fiddle behind sink.  Corian counter to be in silver birch.  Corian undermount sink to be Glacier White.
• Add a single ss cup holder behind the master sink
• In the master head delete the sliding cabinet doors and build swing doors like the S45
• Replace cherry trim in master head shower with acrylic

Galley

• Delete the two middle drawers aft of the sink and build one large drawer
• Build a silverware drawer in the top drawer fwd of the galley sink.  Delete the cutting board and corian sink cover
• Add a door on the small cabiet fwd of galley sink. Remove fiddle and leave open inside
• Custom galley layout.  Delete the standard refrigerator.  Install a 2 drawer refrig/refrrig unit in that space.  Install a light and a 120VAC outlet.  Create a cabinet at counter level minimum 15" high
• In the galley below the sold build a flat surfacearea for storage and add fiddles so the storage will not slide.  

Main Salon and Helm

• Custom main salon layout- Utility room hatch in middle of sole.  Delete the port side sliding settee and mates lounge and build a longer settee with end tables with a drawer and a cabinet fore and aft.  Modify pan in the utility room to create landing.
• Install Volvo joystick on STIDD armrest
• Add SS cupholder outboard on the flat starboard of wheel
• Add SS cup holders on each end table on port side
• Add SS cupholder on starboard side by curved window
• Add single ottoman with cherry base and fabric cover
• Build a Sabre 45 style liquor locker in the box below the Stidd seats. Delete the silverware drawer above the liquor drawer
• Install Stidd foot rests as high as possible on helm box
• Notch nav desk cover aft and outboard for opening and for wires to pass through.  no thumbhole
• Delete the std cherry grab rail at the helm
• Increase two std main salon armrests another 4" in height on both settees

Utility room

• In custom utility room (port side) build a cabinet with a wine cooler and an ice maker
• Hanging rod and custom shelving in custom utility room to extend all the way starboard where the washer and dryer would be installed
