Surveyor's comments from reports are as follows:

"A 2016, 48 foot, fiberglass hull motor yacht named “WASABI”, bearing USCG Doc# 1266656, reported to have struck a channel marker while underway in Richardson Bay, CA, on 09/16/2024. Survey was held while vessel was hauled out at KKMI, Sausalito, CA on 09/23/2024."

"Vessel sustained significant damage to the forward 10’ of the bow hull and deck. Repairs were completed utilizing a section of the hull and deck, manufactured by Sabre, and attached at KKMI Richmond. I surveyed the vessel upon completion of the repairs and found the vessel to be in like new condition.

A sea trial was conducted at the time of inspection. All equipment functioned satisfactory and no discrepancies were identified.

The vessel is in overall good condition and considered suitable for its intended use as a pleasure craft operating on an inland and coastwise route upon completion of below recommendations, Section A."

Interior Layout

From the teak deck in the raised aft seating area to the salon with its lush ultra leather upholstery, this yacht is for the most discerning buyer.

A focal point in this model is the port settee in the salon. With the touch of a switch, the settee glides towards the center of the salon, bringing it closer to the salon table for more guests to gather around the table when serving a meal or playing a card game. Once the settee moves from the wall, the stairway is revealed to the third stateroom perfect for crew or guests with a double berth, large bureau, under berth storage, flat screen TV w/ DVD player, private head with hand held shower and dedicated AC/heat zone.

The airy and large galley forward has an abundance of storage, a large galley counter and skylight. Across from the galley is the master stateroom with multiple cedar lined closets, drawers and storage space. With an en-suite full head and large, tiled shower.

Forward of the galley is the passageway to the VIP Stateroom with island berth, cedar lined closets, drawers and under the berth storage. An en-suite head with stall shower, and a separate door that closes this area off completely from the passageway, offers the owner and their guests maximum privacy.

The interior custom decor of this 48 features a combination of two complimentary ultra leathers with upgraded cushions with stiffer knee rolls, coordinated bed coverings and pillows and custom master cabin, VIP cabin and head doors are made thicker than standard. The exterior boasts custom Awlgrip paint, a Freedom Lift, Ocean
LED underwater lights, custom cockpit seat covers and windshield cover and more. No detail has been overlooked in the building of this custom Sabre 48SE.

Zeus Pods

Her Zeus drive train is the latest in pod  technology from ZF Marine and Cummins. Pods offer quieter operation, better fuel economy than straight shafts, and unequalled easy of handling around the docks. She can cruise at speeds upto 27 knots with sound levels at cruise aboard the Sabre 48 Salon Express are an incredible low 74dba.

Manufacturer Description

As an early adopter of pod drive systems, Sabre Yachts has a clear understanding of how these revolutionary drives can best be used to increase efficiency, maximize ease of operation and owner confidence. The all-new Sabre 48 Salon Express is our fifth pod driven model and she takes full advantage of this technology in both her performance and in her interior accommodation plan.

The 48's traditional exterior profile belies the contemporary performances of her vee-hull. She cruises at 27 knots and at wide open throttle she'll attain more than 32 knots. With the Zeus pod drive system, turns at speed are as exciting as they are in a fine sports car but perhaps even more exhilarating is the quiet that one experiences at cruise speeds. Less than 75 Dba makes her one of the quietest motoryachts available today. The joystick and Skyhook operations give every Captain the confidence to dock her in the most difficult of circumstances.

Her raised cockpit sole brings together the social aspects of the cockpit and main salon and the aft end of the house opens up fully to connect the spaces. Her main salon offers ample seating surfaces for entertaining or simply relaxing to read or enjoy the standard entertainment systems. While underway the raised settee to port of the Stidd helm chair is a perfect place for the crew to enjoy the ride. And when docking, a standard side deck door serves her helmsman and crew, well. The two cabin, two head layout is supplemented by a mechanical space forward of the engine room. Optionally, this space can be laid out as a crew quarters with berth and head unit.
