"Bubbles" is a beautiful low hour 42 Sabre that benefits from a new pair of engines, pods, transmissions and generator all in 2019. Her varnish and bottom paint are fresh and she has a new custom cockpit shade and new exterior cushions. The current owners purchased her through Bluewater coming from a motor yacht style boat last year and have fallen in love with the ease of handling and outstanding ride of a downeast yacht. They love the boat but now want to go to a larger Sabre and do more cruising. For that reason "Bubbles" is seriously for sale and ready for her new owners to enjoy!
As for background on the repower, the original owner (formerly "Irish Rose") had an engine incident in January of 2018, and took on water into the engine room and lazzarette areas. Because of this water intrusion, she was brought to the Bluewater Yacht Yard to put her back into top notch condition. The intrusion did not warrant a salvage title or anything of the such, as the damage was nothing that could not be professionally addressed and was covered by insurance. After Bluewater completed the work the boat was surveyed by the former owner and then again in the form of a thorough pre-purchase survey by her current owners prior to their purchase in the spring of 2019. Below are the main items that were replaced:
- New 2019 Cummins QSB 6.7 380hp diesels
- New 2019 Zeus pods
- New 2019 Onan 9kw generator
- New battery charger
- New Mercury solid state compass
- New water heater
- New fresh water pump
- New fan and control board on A/C unit
- New A/C seawater pump
- New isolation transformer
- All new batteries
- All new battery cables
- All new battery switches
- New shore power control power
- New engine motor mounts
- New AC and DC wiring where needed
- New starboard exhaust tube and hoses
- New air compressor and tank for horns

Water did not come up to or over any of the floors in the boat. The boat has under 300 original hours on her (75 hours on the new motors, pods and generator), and was maintained by both owners with the utmost care and it shows.
