Sabre did an excellent job in the design of this 42 Flybridge Sedan. She has the Downeast blend of style with quality construction and a ride that will impress you. She is built on a modified-V hull with an impressive beam and prop pockets driven by the reliable Yanmar 500’s. The Flybridge has easy access stairs, great seating and full visibility in all directions. You can’t get much more comfort than sitting in the new Stidd helm and companion seats. The new custom enclosure will keep you dry on those rainy days and let the air blow through on the nice days.

The cockpit has the optional cabinet that houses the grill and wet bar sink. There is plenty of room for a few deck chairs and easy access to the wide side decks. The transom door allows easy entry from the swim platform.

The salon is the focal point of this boat. She is appointed with cherry cabinetry and wall coverings, teak & holly flooring, wood blinds and comfortable ultra-leather for the seating. A moveable barrel chair has just been recovered and a dream to sit in. The captain’s seat is a double wide seat also covered in ultra-leather. There is a full helm station with a nice complement of electronics here as well as on the bridge. Plotting out your destination is a breeze with the upgraded Raymarine Hybrid-Touch screens.

Below has the traditional two stateroom layout. Once again everything down there is finished off in varnished cherry wood cabinetry, wall coverings with teak & holly flooring.

The bow stateroom has the centerline queen berth with storage below. The hanging lockers are cedar lined. There is ample storage in the drawers and hull side cabinets for all your belongings. The second stateroom has a nice sofa for lounging that can convert to two Pullman berths upper and lower.

The galley has all the features you would expect from Sabre. There is a two burner cooktop, stainless steel sink, microwave, great counter space and cabinets upper and lower for storage.

This particular Sabre has been cared for by a notable craftsman and maintained to the hilt and it shows. Her hull has been painted a dark Sakonnett Green Awlegrip in June 2015 and looks fantastic. Overall this boat is in excellent condition and you will not be disappointed.
