Virginia Rose is a classic Sabre 36 which combines classic good looks with contemporary styling and performance. The low-profile cabin and the reverse transom make this Sabre a lively cruiser-racer. Designed by Roger Hewson, and built by Sabre Yachts of Casco, Maine, Virginia Rose has a beautiful Flag Green hull. Sabre's are known for their inviting interiors of teak, excellent sailing abilities and comfortable cockpits. She has self-tailing winches, rod rigging, Bimini and dodger, roller furling jib, full batten main and a swing keel/centerboard. This design’s ability for shoal draft, with centerboard up, is ideal for cruising inland waters and when her centerboard/swing keel is down for making coastal/ocean passage.

Her low-profile cabin and reverse transom make this Sabre highly regarded for her design and speed. Virginia Rose is a 1985 model with a new (2019) Yanmar 32 hp diesel engine. She has had replacement/upgrades that should provide for years of future enjoyment. Key replacement/upgrade items include mast re-step, bottom bead-blasted and new barrier coat, bright work varnished, buffed / waxed, head replaced, water heater replaced, LED lighting, Bimini / dodger replacement, and roller furling (foresail/jib) just serviced.
