1983 Sabre 34 Mark I Sold Boat in Colchester, VT US

Beyond is a Nicely Updated Sabre 34. This boat has been kept on Lake Champlain under care of the current owner since 1999. She is equipped for coastal cruising including radar, chart plotter, autopilot, a line cutter, Flex-o-fold propeller, and kerosene heater. She is capable of overnight passages in open water with lee cloths, storm sails and Jordan drogue. The storm jib flies on a custom removable Solent stay, allowing it to be stored on deck; and hoisted without removing the genoa from the furler.

This is one of the few Sabre 34's with an electric windlass, added in 2010, allowing her to carry robust ground tackle. She also comes with nice sail handling upgrades, like a reefing winch and rope clutch on the boom and a Harken traveler added in 2009. The masthead sheave box was rebuilt in 2008. All standing rigging except the headstay was replaced in 2012. The sails are in excellent condition, and the boat includes a NEW 140% VSP Tri-radial genoa, still to be delivered from the sail loft the Spring.

The Interior is in nice condition; with oiled teak woodwork, a beautiful solid teak and maple cabin sole, and some custom features such as a dish rack in the galley slider, settee back locker closures providing secure storage for cans and other heavy items, positive latches on the port an starboard cupboards replacing the OEM catches, and a handsome compass rose on the engine instrument box. Stove fuel is LPG rather than the CNG found on most of these boats. The 30 gallon holding tank, replaced in 2009, provides plenty of capacity for family cruising on the lake. Off the coast, a macerator and Y-valve can be hooked up for overboard discharge. The head was replaced in 2012.

NEW Yanmar 29HP Diesel Model 3YM30 was added in 2012.
