The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 2004 Regal Commodore 3260 is a well-regarded cruiser that offers a blend of performance, comfort, and style. Here’s a breakdown of the pros and cons of this model:
Pros
Spacious Interior: The 3260 features a roomy and well-designed cabin with plenty of headroom, making it comfortable for extended stays onboard. The layout typically includes a full galley, a dinette, and a separate sleeping area.
Performance: Powered by efficient twin engines, the boat provides a good balance of speed and fuel economy. Its deep-V hull design enhances handling and stability, delivering a smooth ride even in choppy waters.
Versatile Cockpit Space: The cockpit area is designed for entertaining, featuring ample seating and a wet bar, ideal for social gatherings. The integrated swim platform adds convenience for water activities.
Quality Build: Regal is known for its quality craftsmanship, and the 3260 is no exception. The materials used throughout the boat are durable and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to a premium feel.
Good Storage Solutions: With various compartments and storage options, the boat makes it easy to stow gear, ensuring a more organized and clutter-free environment.
Cons
Limited Headroom Below Deck: While the cabin is spacious, some may find the headroom in certain areas confined, which could be an issue for taller individuals.
Age Factor: Being a 2004 model, potential buyers should be mindful that some systems and components may require maintenance or upgrades over time. It’s essential to check the boat’s condition and service history.
Fuel Consumption: While performance is a pro, the twin-engine setup can lead to higher fuel consumption compared to smaller or single-engine boats, especially when cruising at higher speeds.
Weather Limitations: The cockpit, while spacious and social, may not provide the same level of protection from inclement weather as larger, fully enclosed models.
Market Availability: As with any older model, finding parts or specific configurations may be a challenge, depending on availability in the used boat market.
