Here is a 1983 Regal Commodore 277 powered with economical twin Mercruiser 470s  (freshwater cooled) (150 hours) and Alpha 1 out drives located in Bridgeport, CT at a great price.

The Regal Commodore has long been the top of the heap when it comes down to small family cruisers with lots of room below and high style helm and cockpit areas. A leader in hull design, few cruisers power up as quickly and easily, nor ride as well as the Regal Commodore.

The 277 Commodore has a well proven interior, sleeps six in three double berths, full head with shower, and a proper galley area. Forward is a comfortable owner’s double berth private area. The saloon boasts a port side settee that converts to a double berth. There is an additional double berth area aft with excellent storage. The cabinetry and joiner work is lovely teak, rich in a style we do not see any more.

Powered with twin 4 cylinder Mercruiser  470s, this boat has some get up and go, but is far more economical than the 6 or 8 cylinder engines. The large cockpit, swim platform and ladder make this an ideal beach cruiser.

The upholstery on deck needs some serious help. The helm seat consol needs replacement and one would not go far wrong to reupholster the cockpit seating. Similarly, below, the forward berth mattress is in need of a new cover. A good cleaning will make the interior sparkle like she should.

Priced to move, this is a nice opportunity for an ambitious buyer to move into a fine family cruiser with a bit of cash and some sweat equity.
