The 2026 Ranger Tugs R-23 surprises with its blend of classic tug-inspired lines and modern functionality. A striking curved windshield and visor, combined with four overhead skylights, sliding side windows, and an opening glass bulkhead, provide panoramic views and abundant natural light throughout the cabin. The walk-in helm benefits from generous airflow and open-air ambiance thanks to the skylights and portlights-ideal for cruising in all seasons.
Built for versatility, the R-23 offers plenty of sleeping accommodations with a forward stateroom with teak-side table (converts to a berth), a mid-level berth, and a convertible dinette for a third berth-comfortable for overnight getaways. The well-appointed galley includes a refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, and sink-making meal prep at anchor or in harbor a breeze.
Handling is calm and confident. Powered by a 200 hp Yamaha F200 outboard with single-lever electronic shift/throttle, the R-23 features electric trim tabs, Laminar Flow Interrupters, and an optional bow thruster-all on a trailerable 8'6" beam hull, combining big-boat ease with nimble control.
Thoughtful cockpit and helm features elevate it beyond expectations. A 9" Garmin chartplotter with GPS and sonar, full engine instrumentation, USB ports, dual drink holders, wipers, and a bolstered helm seat await behind the wheel.
