SUMMARY
Between uses she has been kept under a full canvas cover, so the gelcoat, non-skid, Stamoid canvas, coaming bolsters and interior fabrics have not carried continuous UV load, which is the mechanism behind gelcoat chalking, canvas fade and vinyl embrittlement.
She was ordered with the factory Garmin electronics package, the GMR 424 xHD2 open-array radar and the Garmin Reactor autopilot, and has since been upgraded by her owner with Dometic Optimus 360 joystick control, SeaStation GPS virtual anchoring, a SureShade automated shade over the cockpit, custom canvas, and a Garmin forward-looking sonar transducer networked to the GPSMAP displays already aboard.
The Optimus 360 drives all three outboards through electronic power steering - forward, reverse, diagonal and lateral movement from a single lever - and supersedes the boat's original Teleflex hydraulic steering. SeaStation reads a dual-antenna GPS sensor and commands steering, shifting and throttle to counter wind and current, holding position on a number, holding a heading on a drift, or holding both at once.
The OS 385 is Pursuit's express interpretation of a 39-footer: a 13-foot beam, 18 degrees of transom deadrise, and outboard power hung on the transom rather than inboards buried under the cockpit sole. Moving the machinery aft frees the volume below for a mid-berth and leaves the cockpit unobstructed. Accommodation is two sleeping areas for four - a bow settee forward that converts to a sleeping area for two, and a more private dedicated sleeping area for two aft - served by a separate head compartment with a molded-in fiberglass shower seat, a Corian galley with a two-burner Kenyon cooktop, microwave and 7.5 cu. ft. refrigerator/freezer, a 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle cockpit air conditioning unit plus a second 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle system, and a Panda 8.0 kW diesel generator on its own 25-gallon diesel tank.
The fishing package is factory-fitted rather than added later: a lighted 50-gallon recirculating livewell, a 300-quart insulated refrigerated transom fish box with digitally controlled thermostat and overboard drain, two 68-gallon insulated in-deck fish boxes with pumps and overboard discharge, six enclosed lockable gunwale rod lockers, aluminum downrigger backing plates and wiring port and starboard, and structural reinforcement for a fighting chair.
Pursuit's own performance testing of the OS 385 with triple F300s records best cruise at 3,500 rpm - 25.7 mph, 27.0 gph, 0.95 mpg and 302 statute miles on 90% of her 370-gallon tankage - with 49.2 mph at wide open throttle and 0-30 mph in 10.4 seconds. With the Optimus 360 joystick and SeaStation holding station on a wreck or backing her into a slip, she is a boat one or two people can run without help on the dock.
Her single owner came to her with a long record of boat ownership and use behind him rather than stepping into a 39-footer for the first time, and it shows on the original order sheet before it shows anywhere else: open-array radar, an autopilot, a diesel generator on its own dedicated tank, an isolation transformer and a seven-battery system. The equipment added after delivery points the same direction - joystick control, virtual anchoring, automated shade and forward-looking sonar are what an owner fits to a boat they intend to keep using, not what gets done to a boat in the month before it goes on the market. All manufacturer-recommended services have been completed on the engines, the generator and the vessel's systems, and all service records are available.

OWNER-ADDED UPGRADES
Fitted after delivery, over and above the factory build order.
DOMETIC OPTIMUS 360 JOYSTICK CONTROL Full joystick maneuvering for the triple outboard installation: forward, reverse, diagonal and sideways movement from a single lever, driven through Optimus electronic power steering with its own pump control module and CANtrak display. The Optimus installation supersedes the boat's original Teleflex hydraulic steering.
DOMETIC SEASTATION GPS VIRTUAL ANCHORING A dual-antenna GPS sensor feeds the Optimus 360 and commands steering, shifting and throttle to counter wind and current. Three modes: Position Hold keeps the boat on one latitude/longitude while it takes its natural heading; Heading Hold keeps the bow on a set course while the boat drifts, for drifting structure; Position and Heading holds both at once.
SURESHADE AUTOMATED SHADE A patented telescoping, self-supporting frame extends canvas aft from the hardtop at the push of a helm switch and retracts the same way. There are no deck poles in the cockpit to work around when fishing, boarding or docking, and the frame is rated by the manufacturer for use under way.
CUSTOM CANVAS Owner-specified canvas over and above the factory white Stamoid upgrade on the original build order.
GARMIN FORWARD-LOOKING SONAR TRANSDUCER Adds a live forward view to the existing Garmin network. Garmin publishes a 300 ft forward range for FrontVü bottom and obstruction detection and a 100 ft forward range for LiveVü Forward target imaging, both viewable in split screen on the GPSMAP displays already aboard.

MAINTENANCE
All manufacturer recommended services have been completed on the engines and on the equipment aboard. The three Yamaha F300s have been kept to Yamaha's published four-stroke schedule, the Fischer Panda 8.0 kW diesel generator to Fischer Panda's, and the balance of the vessel's systems to their own manufacturers' intervals.
Yamaha and Fischer Panda both set their intervals on whichever comes first, hours or calendar. At 270 hours across eight seasons the calendar side has governed throughout — the annual, three-year and five-year items came due on the clock while the hour counts stayed low, and they were carried out on that basis rather than deferred until the hours caught up.
