The owner is highly receptive to a fast deal

and is therefore open to any reasonable offers!!

This 46 Post has been owned by a very knowledgeable boat owner / Captain /  business owner, who has spared no expense in keeping her in impeccable condition.  Re-powered in 1996 with original equipment Detroit Diesel  6-71 TIB 485 hp shows the level of care put in to the upkeep and maintenance of this timeless beauty.  Engines were majored in 2012, with 55 hrs SMOH.  The yacht also included (2)  double spreader Rupp outriggers.

Upon entering the salon, you'll understand that this owner has invested time and money to keep her in top flight condition.  Upgrades include newer carpeting in the salon, new upholstery on the salon settee/hide-a-bed, and  updated window treatments.  Looking at the pictures you'll see a masculine interior in Philippine Mahogany, a unique layout with the galley down, and a very desirable master stateroom layout with the master head forward and an athwart ships Master berth, along with an over/ under second stateroom.   The Galley down set up offers excellent work space for the gourmet chef in the family, including a 3 burner electric stove, large oven, and high output vent fan. There is also a 14.1 Cubic Ft. Refrigerator/ Freezer in the Galley.  Try to find that on a modern 46' yacht...

Additional upgrades or improvements are found throughout the boat.  If you are seriously interested in classic style with modern features at an affordable price, this is a yacht you should consider.

The bow offers RIB Dinghy storage cradle, 6 man hydrostatic release life raft, and Rope/ Chain Windlass with Capstan winch included, and a large bow pulpit with Anchor hawse/ roller built in. The yacht includes 2 spare prop and 1 spare shaft, Bottom barrier coated and repainted in 2012, 10’ hard bottom inflatable with 15hp Mercury ob,  Fresh and salt water wash-down,  Dual racor fuel/ water separators,  Halon system,  8 kw Kohler generator, 1300hrs, Directional spot light.

The bridge has outstanding views of the entire boat from the Captains chair, and the second helm chair is set up "tournament style;" set back on the bridge providing premiere views of the cockpit and all the action behind this proven tournament fishing boat design.  This design also allows the Captain room to move around on the bridge when its time to pull up the teaser reels or just get to the cockpit to help handle lines.  The electronics station is offset to starboard, not blocking the line of site and very easy to see and use.  There are two very large bench seats, one forward of the helm and one along the port side of the bridge, doubling as storage benches.  One of the interesting upgrades on this yacht is the bridge enclosure and Venturi windshield are intergraded, not overlapping... allowing the  yacht owner to keep a pristine look at all times. This yacht offers a Quality Hard Top (Half tower) design with cockpit spreader lights, not a Weblon Canvas top often found on boats of this era.

The big draw to the 46 Post is the design elements that make the boat so user friendly, things like the built in bow seat with cushions and (2) covers, the enormous cockpit layout because of the bridge ladder design, and the sliding cabin door, and the centerline Tuna transom door. Many owners easily convert the starboard side cockpit box into a rear facing mezzanine seating.  This yacht utilizes that space to house the washer and dryer.  A custom Cockpit table turns work space into an oversized party deck, and coaming pads round out the space for comfort and fishability. Two large in deck fish boxes in the cockpit.

Electronics include:

  • Furuno GP1550D Color DGPS Plotter
  • Furuno FCV-585 Echo Sounder
  • Furuno GaAs Radar 64 miles
  • Robertson AP-300X Auto Pilot
  • Icom IC-M100 VHF
  • Icom IC-M600 SSB
  • Standard Horizon Speed Log
  • Datamarine LDT-3000 Depth log
  • Danforth Constellation 6" compass

Bridge AM, FM, CD stereo with two speakers

Interior features:

Princess brand 3 burner electric stove with oven,  14.1 Cubic Feet Whirlpool refrigerator, Fisher Paskal Clothes dryer, Haier washing machine, Sharp Carousel Microwave oven.
