The Pearson 323 Sailing Vessel is 32' LOA, a compact cruiser, rigged as a Masthead Sloop that has withstood the test of time. With an encapsulated keel and skeg hung rudder she is a real boat, well built for coastal cruising or passagemaking, with many attributes found in larger cruising boats.
“EvanKeel is a well maintained fresh water boat that would be perfect for a young family or cruising couple looking for a dependable, safe and affordable boat to make their sailing dreams come true.

In sail away condition, this very popular cruiser has a newer interior cushions, basic electronics, serious ground tackle, mainsail with Lazy Jacks, Newer 150% Genoa w/UV Cover, Cruising Spinnaker in Sock and everything needed to cruise away today. She will sleep 5 comfortably and has a practical cockpit layout for user friendly cruising. This Pearson 323 is a sloop rig with fin keel, skeg rudder and keel stepped mast.

Down below port-side stern she has a nice galley with ice box, Propane stove and oven pressure water sink. To starboard aft there is a chart table, book shelf and storage locker. Going forward on the starboard side there is a nice U-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth. Opposite on the port side is a settee/single berth. All the way forward is a private V-berth, storage, bureau and shelves. Just aft of the forward cabin is the head with a hanging locker opposite on the port side. She has shore power. She is in excellent condition for her age and she is ready to go.

The Pearson 323 was produced by Pearson Yachts in Portsmouth, R.I., from 1976 through 1983. It was designed by Bill Shaw, who was chief designer of the America’s Cup defender Columbia while he was with Sparkman & Stephens. The 323 was designed as a comfortable, seaworthy and stylish cruising boat. As Shaw himself says, a boat should be “safe, attractive and a delight to sail. The formula worked; 385 Pearson 323s were built during its 8-year production run. Pearson Yachts closed in 1991, later emerging as TPI (Tillotson-Pearson) Composites, then as Pearson Composites.

Brokers Notes:
Rarely does a boat come along that is truly turn key, “EvanKeel is such that boat. This is a very solid, safe, Bill Shaw design cruiser. Many Pearson 323's are out cruising around the globe. “EvanKeel looks like a real pedigree. Island Packets look a lot like these 80's Pearsons by Bill Shaw. Shallow draft, Mast stepped to keel, ruggedly built. This one is very clean, and ready to sail. Actually, she's really, really in nice shape!
