The PAMA 540LX Pilothouse has received great reviews for quality, functional innovations, impressive standard, with elegant interior. The design has been carefully refined in order to gain the most possible space from this pilothouse yacht.
Pama's construction is of sturdy solid glass on the bottom with the first three layers being vinylester resin. Her stringer system is bordering on excessive. Everything above the waterline is cored with Nidacore honeycomb material, which is extremely strong and lightweight. This coring is "vacuum bagged" to the hull laminate for increased strength. The stringers are capped with stainless supports.
The salon floor has is created with three layers of Nidacore and four layers of fiberglass. This reduces sound levels significantly in the salon while underwa. This also gives a solid feel.
The engine room is finished from ceiling to bottom. The rest of the interior decks are made up of a Nidacore honeycomb/FRP sandwich. Many builders apply plywood for interior decks.
