Features
Overview

This 44 was completely repowered in 2008 with 540 HP Cummins engines, 2 generators and 2 new 300 gallon fuel tanks. The entire engineroom was re plumbed, wired and painted.

When viewing the big, modified deep-V hull, two reasons for the Pacifica 44u2019s attributes become obvious. The boat will have a dry ride, as the well-flared bow should easily shrug off the waves. And it will be a very stable fishing (15 degree) rear bottom and quite pronounced reverse chines that run way up close to the bow.

Stability is critical on a sportfisher, just ask any spotter stuck 30 feet off the water in a tower. You step off the dock onto a Pacificau2019s swim step, and the hull wonu2019t even move. While slow trolling or drifting, the sea keeping ability of the 44's hull is incredible.

Cockpit and Deck

"JIGGER JOE" has a massive cockpit that is wide open for fishing or entertaining. Against the forward bulkhead, on either side are 2 custom 80 gallon Offshore bait tanks and tackle storage. On the port side are electronic controls for the Cummins main engines. On the transom are 2 custom mackeral tubes for drop back baits.

Moving forward, there are tall West Coast rails and a set of Precision Marine outriggers. Up on the bow is a cooler with seating, a large bow bait tank, casting pulpit and a Maxwell Anchor windlass.

Flybridge and tower

The flybridge is laid out for the West Coast fisherman. The console is all the way forward for better visibility and for glassing. It is arranged very well, with everything in reach. Aft of the console is a single large helm chair. To the port side is a Back to back seat that folds down flat into a berth and to starboard is a berth / settee with storage underneath.

In the center of the flybridge is the ladder to the crowsnest. No need to climb up a pipe tower on a Pacifica, the ladder is easily accessible, and the crowsnest is a bucket type so you will be warm and dry while looking for fish.

On the starboard side is a large dining area with storage underneath. There is plenty of rod holders on the overhead for any fishing trip.

Stepping down into the living areas, there are two bunks to starboard, a full size bunk forward to port and 2 bunks above and on either side of the full size berth.

The master is on the port side and has a full sized berth, ample storage and a full head with separate stall shower.

Engines

"JIGGER JOE" had a complete engineroom refit in 2008 and no expense was spared.

All of the old equipment, including, wiring, plumbing and motor mounts were removed. 2 new 540 HP Cummins electronic engines were installed as well as an 11KW Kohler generator and a 5KW Northern Lights generator. With the new motors, this Pacifica is quiet, efficient, and clean.

In December 2017 a full 1000 hour service was don on the motors, including the entire cooling system.
