REDHOUSE represents a rare opportunity to acquire a well maintained example of the highly regarded Pacific Seacraft 34.  To the knowledgeable sailor, the William Crealock designed sloop/cutter is a well-proven blue water sailing vessel.  From the traditional sea-kindly canoe stern to the extensive use of robust bronze hardware ââ?¬â?? these boats are made for serious cruising, but well suited to sailing on the San Francisco Bay.  Cruising is undertaken in comfort, as the beautiful hand-rubbed teak cabinetry will attest.  There is 6ââ?¬â?¢ 3ââ?¬ï¿½ headroom through-out with berths for six, and a handsome teak and holly cabin sole. The hull of the Pacific Seacraft is very solid GRP with the outer layer being in vinylester resin to resist osmotic blistering. The deck is cored with end grain balsa. The hull/deck joint is above deck. The ballast is lead and externally bolted on. Overall the workmanship is clearly of a very high standard.

Redhouse has been well maintained and upgraded over the years and now shows in good condition with newly polished topsides, cockpit and cabin top, fresh varnish, a new mainsail cover and all new running rigging, the boat is extremely attractive, and ready to sail.

The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 1990 Pacific Seacraft Crealock 34 is a well-regarded bluewater cruiser known for its sturdy construction and classic design. Here are some pros and cons to consider:

Pros

Solid Construction: Built with high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, the Crealock 34 features a heavy-duty fiberglass hull and robust framing, ensuring durability and safety in offshore conditions.

Seaworthy Design: With a full keel and a moderate displacement, it offers excellent stability and a comfortable motion in rough seas.

Classic Aesthetics: Timeless lines and a traditional profile appeal to sailors who appreciate classic yacht styling.

Spacious Interior: For a 34-foot boat, the interior layout is well thought out, providing comfortable accommodations for extended cruising.

Reliable Systems: The 1990 model often includes dependable engine options and well-planned rigging, making it suitable for long passages.

Good resale value: Due to its reputation and build quality, the Crealock 34 tends to retain value well.

Cons

Weight and Speed: The sturdy build and full keel contribute to a heavier displacement, which can result in slower speeds compared to lighter, more modern designs.

Maintenance: Traditional construction and older systems may require more routine maintenance and occasional upgrades.

Limited Deck Space: The design prioritizes seaworthiness over cockpit size, resulting in a smaller cockpit area that some sailors may find cramped.

Outdated Amenities: Being a 1990 model, interior fittings and onboard technology may feel dated compared to newer yachts, potentially necessitating modernization.

Draft: The full keel draft might limit access to shallow waters or certain anchorages.
