PRESCINDING was purchased new in August, 1987, stored with some modifications over that winter, and commissioned for the first time in April, 1988.
She has summered every year since at Fairhaven Shipyard and been maintained and stored (indoors) over every winter since, also at Fairhaven Shipyard.
Spares:
Engine consumables (filters, impellers, etc.).
Spare 120 AH Hehr Power Systems alternator (1)
Spare starters (2)
Spare Groco HF head pump (1 or 2), plus spare pump parts.
Spare exhaust injection elbow (1).
Engine:
Westerbeke 46, 4 cylinder, 127 c.i., self-bleeding diesel.
Three fuel filters: Racor, lift pump and Westerbeke spin-on.
Engine has been routinely service (lube oil and filter, fuel filters) every fall. Coolant system overhauled (all new parts) about 10 years ago. Injection elbow replaced about 3 years ago.
Cutlass bearing replaced twice: once about 15 years ago and again about two years ago, by Fairhaven Shipyard.
Current Hobbs reading about 2,000 hours.
Sails:
Current inventory is mainsail (1) and 135% genoa jib (1).
Sails new about 5-6 years ago by Harding. Sails maintained and stored over winters by Harding every year.
Furling system by Harken, which has been inspected and serviced as needed every second or third year by Joe Mello (Rigging Solutions, now RW Ropes).
Winches:
Two Harken electric genny sheet winches (also used for sail halyards), installed 2014.
Two manual Barlow spinnaker sheet winches.
Two manual doghouse winches.
Eight rope clutches on doghouse.
Electrical:
House: two banks of two each East Penn 8G31DT gel cells (96 AH per), controlled by House Master switch. Batteries new April, 2022.
Engine: one Interstate Group 24 starting battery controlled by Engine Master switch. Engine can be started via house banks via setting on Engine Master if needed.
Hehr Power Systems 120 AH high cap alternator.
Heart Interface Inverter/Charger. (1,000W AC inverter; 50A DC charger; 30A AC shore power pass through.
Cruising System AH+2 battery management system.

Two propylene water tanks, totaling approximately 110 gallons, with source selector valve.
Two domestic water pumps, one plumbed nominally to domestic water and the other plumbed nominally to fresh water wash down fittings (one in cockpit and one in anchor well). In the event of a pump failure, either pump can be switched to other function as needed.
