BLUEFIN is a Sparkman and Stevens designed yacht, built in 2004 by North Wind Yachts in Barcelona, Spain.

Few designers have as many offshore cruising yachts in service as Sparkman & Stephens. Renowned worldwide for designing safe, seaworthy, comfortable long-range sailing vessels, this yacht is designed and built to cross the oceans of the world in style, comfort and safety. North Wind are also famous for their high quality of workmanship and design.

BLUEFIN has cruised the USA for the last 5 years and has been professionally maintained without regard to expense by her very experienced owners.

A beautiful dark blue hull with a 24 karat gold shear stripe with a teak and leather interior. She has North Sails, B&G electronics, carbon mast, rudder, and spinnaker pole. All her equipment is the best money can buy.

Accommodation Overview: From Forward to Aft:

The breathtakingly spacious interior of the yacht is built of the highest quality materials and specially designed for North Wind Yachts.

Bulkheads, cabinetry and interior furniture are made from specially selected Burma teak using the highest workmanship standards. All exposed surfaces are varnished to a Bristol finish. All her cushions are custom made leather.

A large forepeak at the bow is accessible through a sizable deck hatch for substantial storage.

Two guest staterooms with en-suite heads are located forward. Each has two Duplex Pullman berths, ample storage and private heads located forward of each stateroom. A shower is located between the two forward heads with an access door available from each head.

Aft of these staterooms, port side, is a fully equipped galley. Facing this on the starboard side is a teak dinette table and seating that can accommodate six at mealtime. Two steps up from the galley/dinette area is the main salon: Here, large windows provide a fine view forward and port and starboard. Seating around the salon is of tasteful and comfortable fitted with high quality leather cushions. On the port side is a beautiful inlaid teak table that is extendable on four sides to accommodate up to 8. When the table is contracted, the area provides a comfortable area to relax.

On the starboard side of the salon is additional seating and the entertainment center controls. A flat screen TV is mounted on the aft wall of the main salon. Two steps aft on the starboard side leads to the navigation room.

All navigation and communications equipment are available at a build-in desk with comfortable seating. On the inboard side of the navigation room is a very complete electrical panel that controls all systems on-board. Passing aft from the navigation room leads to the owner's cabin.

This richly finished and huge cabin encompasses a queen sized bed and ample drawer and cabinet storage. Leading forward from the port side are well appointed head and shower rooms. The deck is Burma teak.

Outside in the cockpit areas the teak rails and teak deck create a quality appearance while maintaining the low maintenance of fiberglass forward. The main cockpit features a teak table that expands for dining for six guests. A refrigerator is enclosed in the cockpit table for beverages and hors d'oeuvres.

Aft of the main cockpit is the steering cockpit that allows the helmsman access to instruments, controls and a beautiful laminated teak steering wheel without disturbing guests seated in the main cockpit forward. Electric winches make sheeting easy, and hydraulic mainsail and jib furling systems are operated from a panel in the steering cockpit to raise and lower or furl the sails. The bow thruster control is located to starboard of the steering wheel.

Both cockpit floors are of teak. Hydraulics power the transom that can be lowered to act as a loading area or as a swim platform. Just forward is a very large lazarette for storage.

Construction

The deck and hull are laminated using pre-preng autoclave techniques of oven cured epoxy with partial polyester foam core and transverse and longitudinal stiffeners along with bilge stiffiners The deck and cockpit floors are covered with Burmese teak. All bulkheads are glassed into the hull and deck on both sides for maximum strength. Carbon fibre rudder.
