Engines & Mechanical Equipment

Mains and generators are constantly kept up with by a full-time onboard engineer. Large Caterpillar service done in 03/24.

This vessel has twin 250 HP 3306 BTA Caterpillar main engines. The engine room, accessible from both the master stateroom’s companionway and a side deck door, features a spacious walk-in layout with a central walkway and a stainless steel workbench. It houses 4 fuel tanks (2 side, 1 center 1 day tank), connected via a manifold system for easy fuel transfer. The bilge pump system, capable of servicing five locations on the boat, is equipped with automatic water intrusion alarms and is supported by an automatic bilge backup system. Moreover, a dedicated pump system manages the two gray water tanks.

Flybridge

The Flybridge was fully refurbished during the 2021 refit.

On this huge flybridge you will find at the helm 4 comfortable TODD Captains chairs, a built in space for a yeti cooler, and state of the art navigational electronics nestled on a custom teak helm pod. A JL audio sound system. The Bimini top was completely replaced new in 2023.

Going aft are 4 lounge chairs to enjoy time under the sun. Further aft you will find two built in seating areas with their own custom teak tables. Covering the aft portion of the flybridge is a large expandable / retractable TUUCI Umbrella which is bolted into the aluminum superstructure of the yacht. 

Further aft is a grill station, with custom butlers teak table and storage cabinets along with a large freezer for provisions during extended cruising. 

Adjacent to the grill area is the 20’ft tender storage, surrounded by plenty or room to store additional toys. Servicing the tender is a #2000LB Lift that was rebuilt in 2021. 

Aft Deck

Thoughtfully redesigned during her 2021 refit with a full wet bar, day head, and a stairwell going up to the flybridge. Under the stairwell you will find a well appointed day head and a wine fridge. The bar features custom teak furnishings, a liquor closet, ice maker, sink and a wine fridge. She has a beautiful custom teak dining table which comfortably accommodates 12 guests. Additionally the aft deck is equipped with elegant white and blue dimmable lighting, and a JL audio sound system with fusion control.

Galley

The Galley was completely re-designed in 2021, with all new white countertops, and a custom 6 person dining room table. In her galley you will find all the creature comforts of a luxury home including a fuel burning stove.

The Hull sides were completely repainted Flag Blue in 2020. During her full refit in 2021 her bottom was sandblasted re-coated and new bottom paint applied, flybridge tender deck received new paint and non skid, and interior paneling was refreshed / repainted white. Another bottom paint coating was applied in 2023 and again in 03/2024.

Construction

Precious Cargo has just received a hull ultra sound during her yard period in (03/24), the results proved her hull thickness remains in fantastic condition.

 

Hull: 8mm welded steel keel plating, 6mm and 8mm welded steel bottom plating and 5mm topsides plating. Hull framing includes 180mm by 80 mm by 8mm bottom longitudinales, 75mm by 8mm topsides longitudinales, and 75mm by 8mm traverse framing on 400mm centers with 8mm stringers welded to the frames. Integral tanks within the vessel's hull envelope provide additional hull structure. 

Five watertight bulkheads

Main Deck: 5mm welded steel plate in 120mm by 80mm by 8mm longitudinal framing and 75mm by 8mm transverse framing.
