Who doesn't love a tugboat? Built in Burlington WA, this fuel-efficient cruiser features classic Nordic Tug styling and is the perfect "looper", long-range cruiser, and/or affordable liveaboard island hopper. The charm of the traditional tugboat was top of mind when Lynn Senour designed the first Nordic Tug 26, in 1980. The huge success of this model led to the introduction of the even more popular Nordic Tug 32 five years later. With its signature tug bow, rounded stern, and faux smokestack that hides a radar reflector, the Nordic Tug 32 thoughtful design continues below the waterline. In response to the gasoline crunch of the early 80's Senour decided that a balance of speed and fuel savings was a priority and designed the semi-displacement hull. His forethought carries weight today when fuel efficiency is of utmost importance.
SOULSHINE is powered by a 210 hp Cummins 6BT 5.9 L with 760 hrs, cruise speeds around 10 -13 kns, and an enviable fuel consumption of @ 1 gal/hr. She is equipped with a compass, an ICOM VHF, and a full suite of Raymarine electronics including a GPS/plotter/radar Pathfinder, Autohelm ST-7000 autopilot, a secondary Autohelm GPS, a Westerbeke 5.5CD generator w/92 hours, 2 Crusait units, an inverter, and battery charger. Her Pilothouse has 360 visibility, a large helm bench seat with foot rails, and her full beam layout and teak and holly sole combine luxury, efficiency & meticulous craftsmanship. The Main Salon/Galley features a large settee/dinette that converts to a double berth, a stainless steel sink, 2-burner electric ORIGO cooktop, a NovaKool fridge, and a Tappan microwave/baker oven. Forward of the Pilothouse is the master stateroom with a starboard (athwartships) berth w/bench, plenty of storage, and an ensuite head with a surprisingly large separate shower.
SOULSHINE has had plenty of recent upgrades and has been meticulously and professionally maintained by the current owners. She is a MUST SEE, with a rugged elegance that will win your heart, and she is ready for new adventures in 2024.
