Tally-On is a rare and highly customized 1983 Nonsuch 36 Cat-Ketch, hull #9 of only 68 built, and the only cat-ketch rigged Nonsuch in the 950+ boat fleet. Custom built by George Hinterhoeller to Mark Ellis plans for offshore sailing, she features reinforced cockpit construction, raised companionway entry for added seaworthiness, and easy single-handed sailing with all lines led to the cockpit, electric winches, and self-tacking wishbone rigs. Extensively refit over the years including Awlgrip hull/deck, rebedded hardware, epoxy barrier coat, and mast removal/rework, she reflects the renowned quality and performance of Hinterhoeller Yachts. Powered by a well-maintained 63hp Westerbeke diesel with approximately 1,200 hours, Tally-On cruises comfortably at 7-8 knots and offers spacious, stay-free decks ideal for coastal cruising or offshore passagemaking.
The Nonsuch 36 has an amazingly roomy interior, offering 6'6" headroom throughout with accommodations for 6 in three separate cabins. The forward stateroom has a large double bed to port with large lockers, vanity, and wash basin. This stateroom features great ventilation by overhead hatches and opening side ports.
