Overview
The Nitro ZV-20 is a 20-foot, 2-inch fishing boat designed with extensive input from professional walleye anglers to optimize its functionality and performance. It features a thoughtfully crafted layout and a range of options to cater to various fishing styles, including bass and trout fishing. The boat is equipped with advanced electronics, ample storage, and a powerful engine lineup, making it a versatile and high-performance vessel.
Exterior Design and Bow Features
The bow area of the ZV-20 is outfitted with a standard Minn Kota Turova 36-volt trolling motor, delivering 112 pounds of thrust with a 60-inch composite shaft, foot control, Bluetooth connectivity, and Universal Sonar 2. There are eight additional trolling motor options available, supported by a ram-mounted shaft support to maintain stability when stowed. The bow casting deck is carpeted and includes five hatches that provide access to storage compartments. Eight-inch high bulwarks enhance safety and are equipped with speakers for the optional stereo system and grab rails. The pedestal seat at the bow offers two socket positions to accommodate different anglers and features a recessed foot control. To starboard, a 10-gallon baitwell with a removable bait bucket is installed. The bow also includes a tool holder, beverage holder, and outboard trim switches, while a non-skid mat facilitates safe boarding.
Cockpit and Helm Console

The walkthrough windshield is 26 inches wide, leading down a 17-inch step that conceals ventilated rod storage for up to ten rods measuring eight feet, with additional rod storage beneath. The helm console features a wraparound windshield and a recessed area for a RAM-mounted display, supporting up to 13 primary and 18 secondary display options. The best economic cruise speed was 32.7 mph at 3,500 rpm, consuming 7.7 gallons per hour and delivering a fuel efficiency of 4.2 miles per gallon, with an estimated range of 210 statute miles while maintaining a 10% fuel reserve from the 55-gallon capacity. The hull features Nitro's NVT performance design with parabolic curves and an RPS transom for rapid planing. The boat planes in an average of 2.1 seconds, reaches 20 mph in 4.4 seconds, 30 mph in 6.4 seconds, and 40 mph in 8.9 seconds. It demonstrates excellent maneuverability and water adhesion during turns.
Trailer and Additional Features
The ZV-20 is delivered with a custom tandem-axle trailer that includes powder-coated GalvaShield corrosion and chip protection, 14-inch custom aluminum wheels with radial tires, and surge disc brakes on both axles.
