Power and Performance
The Z21 is equipped with a Mercury 250 Pro XS two-stroke outboard paired with a 14x24 Fury stainless steel three-blade propeller. During testing, the boat achieved a top speed of 71.1 mph at 6,000 rpm, consuming 22.8 gallons per hour, which translates to a range of approximately 154 miles. The most efficient cruising speed was found at 4,000 rpm, where the boat maintained 39.9 mph while burning 9 gallons per hour, extending the range to 219 miles. Weighing 3,243 pounds, the Z21 is heavier than some competitors, but this added weight enhances stability and ride quality in choppy conditions and wakes.
