The boat's heart is found in it's lounge area. This is an extra spacious and multifunctional socializing space that can be easily adapted to different activities such as cruising, sunbathing, swimming, entertaining, lunch and dinner or a quiet afternoon of reading in the shade. Flexibility is provided by sofas, tables and awnings with simple handles that can be used to rotate, fold and move into different positions depending on what it is you want to do.
The lounge area has three sofas and a large table which, depending on it's position, can function as a sun deck or a seating area that can either have all seats facing the direction of travel or alternatively facing one another. The outdoor kitchen has drawers for cutlery and tableware, a kitchen sink with hot water and space for a gas stove or electric grill. The large stowage space measures just over 2500 liters and boasts a hydraulic opening mechanism that is easily accessible from the after-deck. It has space for everything you could ever want to bring with you, whether that be SUPs, sea bobs, wakeboards and biscuits or simply an inflatable rubber boat. The bathing platform and the after-deck are ample and easily provide enough space for several people at the same time.
"We already added some extra deck space, treading surfaces and wide passageways on this boat's little sister, the T9, but the T11 takes things to a whole new level. The surface areas are exceptionally generous and the freedom of movement you get onboard is palpable - not just in the lounge area, but on the after-deck and the foredeck as well. The boat is far from being over-furnished and freedom of movement is something that you truly feel whenever you step onboard" says Joacim Gustavsson.
The cockpit is snuggly put together in the typical Nimbus fashion, with extra storage compartments and space for three people to sit in the direction of travel. The foredeck offers room for a divan and a sun bed. Much like the T9 series, the T11 also has a large storage hatch at the front of the cabin. Thanks to the large gunwale sides, the foredeck can also be used as a seating area and socializing space.
Below deck you will find two separate cabins with space for two couples or a family of four. Spacious bathroom with toilet, shower and sufficient headroom.

Nimbus T11: BoatTEST Review
Overview
The Nimbus T11 is a 40-foot cruiser designed with a strong emphasis on maximizing convertibility and efficient use of space. Its design caters to versatile social and recreational activities, making it suitable for family outings, fishing, and entertaining. The boat features twin Mercury Verado engines, with options ranging from 300 to 400 horsepower, delivering solid performance and handling.
Exterior Design and Cockpit
The cockpit area of the Nimbus T11 is exceptionally versatile, featuring multiple seating configurations that can be adapted for cruising, socializing, alfresco dining, fishing, or sunbathing. The seats can be arranged to face forward, face each other for conversation, form a C-shaped dining area, or be converted into a sunbed. Storage is abundant, including dedicated drawers for tableware beneath the seats and large compartments under the deck, sunpad, and seats for fenders and other gear. Safety is well considered, with substantial bulwarks rising between 29 and 35 inches and sturdy handrails. An optional X-edition package enhances the seating with Alcantara suede upholstery and engine cowling highlights. A sunshade can be erected using four stanchion sockets attached to the hardtop, providing shade over the cockpit and bow areas. The refreshment station includes a sink and a configurable grill (electric or propane), with soft-close storage drawers and refrigerated drawers customizable as fridge or freezer units. The bow offers additional social seating with secured sunpads that can be adjusted into lounge positions, grab rails, beverage holders, and a table option with cushions for all-around seating. The foredeck includes 12-inch cleats, an open bow rail plan for boarding, a windlass with a safety chain, and a through-stem anchor roller.
Helm and Navigation
The helm station is starboard-mounted and equipped with dual 12-inch Simrad NSS Evo 3 displays capable of showing multiple screens, a vessel view display, and a comprehensive electrical switch panel. Controls include a JPO joystick, digital throttle and shift, ZipWake trim tab controller, and a remote for the searchlight. The steering wheel is mounted on a tilt base, and the helm seats adjust fore and aft. Additional features include beverage holders, a deep cubby for storage, stereo remote control, molded footrests for observer seats, and sturdy grab rails on both sides. A frost fence protects the dash area, and the hardtop perimeter is fitted with tracks to allow enclosure for three-season boating.
Interior Living Spaces
Accessed via an offset companionway to the port side of the helm, the cabin offers nearly six feet of headroom with a bright, satin-finished interior that benefits from natural light. Storage is plentiful, including a large cabinet on the port side that can be outfitted with a refrigerator. The electrical panel is conveniently located within the cabin. Climate control options include air conditioning and a diesel-fired heater, enhancing comfort in various conditions.
Private Accommodations
The mid-cabin features a berth measuring 78 by 48 inches with 19 inches of overhead clearance, complemented by narrow and deep storage compartments and mechanical access panels. A full-length mirror is mounted on the door, and additional storage alongside the berth could be further optimized for personal items. The head compartment is notable for its separate shower area with a curved acrylic door, an electric flush toilet, a Corian countertop with a stainless steel sink, and a lengthy hull-side window. Forward is the V-berth, measuring 77 by 53 inches at its widest point and tapering to 35 inches at the lowest height. It includes opening port lights on both sides, large hull-side windows, a mirror, and extensive storage beneath and behind the seating. Privacy is maintained with a curtain that can close off the forward cabin area.
Power and Performance
Powered by twin 300-horsepower Mercury Verado outboards with 17-pitch four-blade propellers, the Nimbus T11 achieved a top speed of 48 miles per hour at 6,000 RPM during testing. The best cruising speed was 28.4 miles per hour at 4,500 RPM, with a fuel consumption of 23.8 gallons per hour, resulting in a range of approximately 241 statute miles while maintaining a 10% fuel reserve. The boat weighs 12,345 pounds empty, with a test weight of 14,838 pounds including fuel and passengers. Acceleration to planing speed occurred in 4.9 seconds, reaching 20 mph in 6.3 seconds, 30 mph in 10.8 seconds, and 40 mph in 17.4 seconds. The T11 demonstrates impressive handling, maintaining plane down to 14.3 mph, and offers engine upgrade options up to 400 horsepower.
Conclusion
The Nimbus T11 stands out for its thoughtful design that prioritizes convertibility, storage, safety, and comfort. Its versatile cockpit seating arrangements, ample storage solutions, and well-appointed interior spaces make it a practical and enjoyable vessel for a variety of boating activities. Combined with strong performance metrics and advanced helm technology, the T11 successfully meets the demands of modern boaters seeking both functionality and style.
