This amazing offshore machine is a 1979 Nautor Swan 441 named "Farewell." Marking Nautor Swan's transition from the Sparkman & Stephens era to modern, performance-oriented Ron Holland designs, the 441 features a fine entry, powerful hull form, and a tall masthead sloop rig. It pairs a classic fiberglass hull with luxurious teak joinery below deck. She sleeps 8 people and features a spacious aft cabin and practical galley.
Her lines say offshore speed and power. She was modified to take on any ocean at any condition. She was owned by the owner of the Curaçao Shipyard and in 2018 he put her through an extensive refit in preparation for a then planned offshore adventure. While the trip never materialized, the boat was upgraded for the rounding Cape Horn type of trip. She had her hull re-enforced, a customer aluminum roll cage, new rigging, and re-painted the hull with top grade Awlgrip. The yard owner had his top guys on this project, and the boat came out beautifully and stronger and better than before.
She was purchased three years ago by her current owners and they have enjoyed her many local regattas and island hops. But now there plans have changed and she is seriously for sail. So if you are in the market for a thoroughbred offshore cruiser with a proven track record on the racing sceen, then look no further.

Boat History: Ron Holland developed the Swan 441 directly from a design that produced three of the most successful racing yachts of the time, MARIONETTE, BIG APPLE and
MANDRAKE. EARENDIL is hull #033 and started sailing in the Solent in the UK. She was then brought to the US and sailed off the east coast as well as the Great Lakes. Most recently
she has sailed in the Newport, RI area. For the past approximately 20 years EARENDIL has been a summer time only family cruising boat. In 2017 some upgrades were made to ready her for a trip to Bermuda and back. EARENDIL has a great layout for a small family or one couple sailing. She is well equipped, well kept and ready
to go.
