Brilliant is a classic Morris Linda 28 that has undergone a complete refit in 2022 and 2023. As a practical matter she is as close to new without building her from scratch. The mechanical and cosmetic work was performed by the venerable Dutch Wharf Boat Yard in Branford, CT. The standing and running rigging refit was completed by Chuck Poindexter of the firm Sound Rigging in Essex, CT. Her upgrades include, but not limited to:
- All new bronze thru hull fittings and seacocks
- All lockers from stem to stern repainted
- Top sides repainted
- Deck and cabin top repainted with new non-skid
- All new standing and running rigging including new GMT composite mast
- All new sails
- New electrical and plumbing including new Tankage
- New engine including new diesel tank
- New AC
Her refit costs are well in excess of the current market value of the boat. If you're looking for a well-kept Morris, you will not find one in as good shape as Brilliant.
