Charlie Morgan built these Out Island 41's for the Bahamian sail charter trade. Hence, the Morgan Out Islands are comfortable, roomy, easy-to-sail, and very forgiving in handling by the 'inexperienced'.� They have a shoal draft (4.2 ft) to navigate the shallow banks and bays of the "Baha Mer", - Bahamas (Shallow Sea). The Out Islander motors as fast as she sails (6-7 kts)
"Little Island". could use some cosmetic cleaning and polish on the exterior, as she shows to be faded on her gel coat. The bottom was peeled and epoxy biaxle fiberglass applied, with five layers of epoxy barrier coat applied in 2011. West Marine CPP applied. 2016-2019. The engine is reported to have been rebuilt in 2013 and only has 450 hours.
The bottom of the mast shows corrosion and could use attention, such as cutting off the bottom two inches and raising the stainless steel step with a solid block of synthetic material. The aft deck has a moisture problem, due to the davit mounts and may need attention.
