The 51’ Morgan Out Island Ketch is one of the most popular cruising vessels able to sail anywhere in the world. The strong fiberglass construction, a 15’ beam allowing a roomy interior with 7’ headroom in the salon and 3 staterooms makes this vessel a cruisers top choice under $200,000. This 51 has been rebuilt on the exterior in 2013 & 2014 with all new sails and all new rigging, a newer 85hp Perkins diesel in a huge engine room with lots of room for any engine room installations desired. The bottom and centerboard have fresh antifouling paint and the decks and hull have been awlgripped. Both masts and booms have also been awlgripped. The new Genoa and staysail are on roller furlers for ease of use, the new main and mizzen sails are in stack packs with lazy jacks for easy dousing and there are 2 other new sails, a mizzen staysail and a Gennaker with sock and spinnaker pole for downwind performance. Thus a full sail plan for multiple sail configurations. The vessel has an electric bow thruster to help in tight situations and a stainless steel CQR with chain and rode operated by an electric windlass for anchoring.

The interior is being completely rebuilt by the current owners/boat rebuilders, but the work has just started.

The layout is set, but the built ins are in mid construction as the work continues. There is equipment onboard that still needs to be installed and the sellers are making the vessel available for sale as is for $89,000 or completely finished in sail away condition for $175,000.
