"LADY KATE" is a one-of-a-kind Jewel. She has been personally rebuilt and restored by the renowned cabinetmaker Thos. Moser (see the website: Thosmoser, com). Built by A.H. Moody in England in 1966 of solid fiberglass, Tom acquired the boat in 1996 and began a 3-year total restoration of the vessel, stripping the hull and removing the engine and all machinery, and virtually rebuilding the entire vessel inside and out. The interior and exterior woodwork is spectacular, utilizing some 28 different kinds of wood. The mechanical systems, electronics, sails, and rig were either all replaced new or fully restored. She is unique in every way, and yet is a very comfortable, and seaworthy motorsailor, capable of leisurely daysailing, or luxuriously cruising the world in style.
