The 40z is truly unique in its combination of comfort, performance, efficiency and good looks. She is the perfect platform for a couple to do extended cruising or to comfortably enjoy a harbor cruise. A fine example of the MJM 40z, the most successful MJM model
JUST ABOAT RIGHT is very well equipped, with only 565 hours on her engines. The MJM 40z is often recognized as the best forty-foot performance cruiser afloat. She is one of the only two 40 yachts ISO certified category A Ocean. The classic modified deep-V Doug Zurn hull provides a smooth, dry and stable ride. She cruises at 30 knots and is capable of 36 knots. The dual lifting strakes, chine flats and 19-degree transom dead rise provide unmatched stability, level acceleration and dry ride. Thanks to strong, lightweight, heat-cured, epoxy with E-glass construction, her fuel efficiency is as much as 50% better than conventional yachts. The joystick controlled Yanmars make docking easy and the "Station Hold" keeping function provides a way to pause for lunch without deploying the anchor. The panoramic sight lines, open galley with dinette, pilot house and cockpit on the same level, side boarding doors at floating dock level, strataglass side windows contribute to the ease, comfort and performance of this classic yacht.
