Professionally modified for endurance and off-grid performance upgrades.

• Custom Twin-Prop Pedal Drive: Designed and specifically fitted for this boat. Features sturdy, comfortable seats designed for quick transitions and strong enough to support two heavy crew members. Capable of surge speeds over 3 knots and a steady cruise of just under 2.5 knots. Includes a full selection of spares (chains, sprockets, and propellers).

• Off-Grid Electrical System:

  • A 200W rigid solar panel mounted in a dedicated frame sitting over the pedal drive.

  • Victron power management system (new 20A solar charge controller) and a new Blue Sea breaker panel.

  • 200Ah Bluetooth-monitored LFP battery bank (2x 100Ah batteries).

  • Exterior cockpit plugs and interior charging points for iPads, phones, cameras, and nav gear. (Note: On a relatively sunny R2AK, the batteries never dropped below 90%!)

• Upgraded Rigging & Hardware: Two-part halyard installed to facilitate reefing. Features an easily removable Tides main track so slugs can be used, while retaining the ability to switch back to bolt-rope laminate mainsails and the single-part locking halyard.

• Life & Safety Kit:

  • Custom port and starboard Lee Cloths on the main benches for sleeping or high-side kit storage.

  • Hanging points for gear throughout the cabin.

  • Water bricks provide over 70 liters of strong, flexible tankage (enough for a crew of 5).
