The hull was designed to be both rigid and capable of handling offshore conditions through a mix of solid and composite techniques

The fiberglass / hull was hand-laminated using stitch-bonded materials, including biased biaxial and unidirectional reinforcements to ensure structural integrity
The deck is constructed as a one piece, fiberglass unit with rigidity and performance in mind.
She was also reinforced with a balsa core composite structure to keep strength without being too top-heavy.

A standout feature of the 38 Sport Fisher's construction is its engine room, which was engineered as a self-contained, high-detail compartment

Engine Support: Heavy-duty engine stringers are integrated into the hull for vibration dampening.
Molded Structures: The compartment features mirror-smooth fiberglass surfaces with built-in fiberglass drip pans and battery boxes.
Soundproofing: Standard construction included Mylar-faced barrier material applied in multiple layers under the salon floor to reduce cabin noise

One of our favorite things about her is that she's powered by reliable Twin Caterpillar 3208 diesels with approx 2800 hours on each. Maintained and ready to handle the blue water with ease and bring you home with your catch in style.

The Mediterranean with its deep V hull, provides performance and safety demanded by knowledgeable yachtsmen and serious sport fishermen. The engine room of the Mediterranean 38 is a testament to attention to detail. The compartment is a mirror smooth fiberglass engineered structure that incorporates fiberglass drip pans under the engines and fiberglass battery boxes with lock-down hinged vented covers.

The fishing cockpit has padded faux teak flooring has a rubber grip to it, designed for the avid fisherman. Its eight feet long with a transom door and two large fish boxes, either one of which may be converted to a freezer. The transom has a built-in 48 gallon, five scoop live bait tank. Forward is a fiberglass bait and tackle center with a sink and a cutting board.

The Mediterranean's Deep V hull smooths out the ride on offshore waters and provides the safety sea keeping ability and performance desired.
