2020 PowerBoat Guide

The McKinna57 is a handsome pilothouse yacht whose graceful lines stood in contrast to the aggressive styling of many European luxury yachts of her era. Heavily built on a modified-V hull with prop pockets and a relatively wide beam, the Maple interior of the McKinna 65 is an impressive display of grain-matched woodwork and luxurious furnishings.

Included in the three-stateroom layout is an amidships master suite with a diagonally positioned berth. The galley and dinette are on the Salon level, a few steps up from the spacious salon with its facing settees and built-in LEDTV on a custom lift. The flybridge, which can be reached only from a pilothouse staircase, seats eight and extends well aft with space for a tender. Adding to the sense of luxury are the teak decks and flybridge sole.

Accommodations

Once you step into the spacious salon, you will immediately appreciate the complete refit that took place in 2018. San Diego's top yacht decorator picked out the decor, fabrics and finishes, which makes the interior of this 1998 MotorYacht look like a 2019.

Stepping in from the aft deck, you will find a large L-shaped settee to starboard with a custom Hi-Low table and stools in front. To port, there is a large entertainment center with a 55" LED TV on a popup lift. Underneath is ample storage, a wine chiller, and the rack for all your AV equipment.

Forward and to port is the well equipped galley, which features under counter SubZero refrigerator and freezers, a 3 burner cooktop, Convection microwave, and a trash compactor.

Moving forward and to starboard is a wet bar before going up the stairs to the pilothouse. Behind the helm is a large settee with a table so guests can have a view of the bow while underway.

Stepping down the stairwell to starboard, you will enter the living areas. "ALEGRA" features a full beam master with ensuite head and tub, queen size berth, entertainment system, and cedar lined hanging lockers.
