Like all Maxum boats of her era, the 3000 SCR was built on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate beam and integrated transom.
Her midcabin floorplan is arranged in the conventional manner with a convertible U-shaped lounge aft and a double berth in the forward stateroom.
Both cabins have foldaway accordion privacy doors-a definite improvement over the privacy curtains so often found in other midcabin designs.
By offsetting the forward berth, Maxum designers created a very open interior in the SCR, larger in fact than the actual dimensions might suggest.
Storage is plentiful, and three overhead hatches and six opening
ports provide excellent lighting and ventilation.
A gas-assist hatch in the cockpit sole provides good access to the engine compartment.
Additional features include a walk-through windshield, wet bar, and
a foredeck sun pad.
