Maxum 2800 SCR

A good selling model, this widebody cruiser was among the more affordable midsize cruisers available during her production years. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and her deep-V hull delivers a stable and comfortable ride in spite of her high freeboard. The 2800 is a surprisingly big boat on the inside because her full-width cabin eliminates the side decks in order to take maximum advantage of the beam. The floorplan is arranged in the usual way with double berths fore and aft, a convertible dinette, compact galley and an enclosed head with standing headroom. Privacy curtains separate the sleeping areas from the main cabin. There’s seating for six in the cockpit with facing settees aft and a doublewide seat at the helm. Twin hatches in her cockpit sole provide good access to the single MerCruiser engine. (2013 PowerBoat Guide)

This ready-to-go Maxum 2800 SCR is a perfect mid-sized family cruiser that has a lot to offer. If you're in a hurry, she will reach a top speed of about 38 MPH. However, she'll cruise along at a safe and comfortable 28 MPH. Remember, it's not the destination but the journey that matters most, and you'll love the journey in this Maxum!
