Chessie is a custom built Markley/Meekins 1996 hull. Topsides were built by Thomas Boat Works in Solomons, MD with Divinycell coring; no wood. Interior was finished in ash by Norm Riker in Solomons in 1998. Chessie was built for charter fishing and cruising. Powered by Caterpillar C-12 705 hp diesel, with trolling valve and bow thruster. Also, 8 kw generator, inverter, (2) AC/heat units, Galley Maid head with waste treatment system, free drop windlass with 150' chain and 200' rode, radar multiple Furuno color fish finders, autopilot, GPSs, chart program, VHF and CB radios, and oil changer. All stainless steel rails and hardware.
