Pros
Spacious Layout: The wide beam typical of catamarans provides ample living and deck space, ideal for entertaining and extended cruising.
Stability: The twin-hull design offers excellent stability, reducing rolling and providing a smoother ride compared to monohulls.
Fuel Efficiency: Power cats generally have better fuel efficiency due to reduced drag, making the Mares 58 economical for long-distance travel.
Shallow Draft: The shallow draft allows access to coastal and shallow waters that are off-limits to deeper-draft vessels.

Cons
Aging Systems: Being a 1995 model, some onboard systems and electronics may be outdated and require upgrades or maintenance.
Engine Wear: Depending on usage and maintenance history, the engines might need servicing or replacement to ensure optimal performance.
Limited Availability of Parts: Certain components specific to this model may be harder to source due to its age.
Handling in Rough Seas: While stable, power cats can sometimes struggle in very rough ocean conditions compared to deeper monohulls.
