The Manitou 25 Xplode XT-SHP is a high-performance pontoon boat designed to combine sporty handling with stylish aesthetics. Our test boat weighed approximately 5,402 pounds and was equipped with twin Evinrude ETEC G2-200 engines paired with 14-7-8 by 22-inch three-blade stainless steel propellers. The boat achieved a top speed of 52.4 mph at 5,650 rpm. Optimal cruising speed was recorded at 17.5 mph at 2,500 rpm, with a fuel consumption of 6.1 gallons per hour, resulting in a range of 232 miles from the 90-gallon fuel tank, factoring in a 10% reserve. Acceleration was notable, reaching 20 mph in 3.5 seconds and 30 mph in 5.3 seconds. The Evinrude ETEC G2-200 engines provide 30% more peak torque compared to comparable four-stroke engines, delivering strong hole shot performance and pulling power. The engines also feature integrated hydraulic Dynamic Power Steering and the iTrim Automatic Trim System. The bow offers a spacious deck suitable for line handling and anchoring, while the stern platform is even larger, equipped with a four-step reboarding ladder and stainless steel safety rails around the outboard well. Specially sculpted mounts for aft-facing speakers are integrated into the design.
Interior Living Spaces
Inside, the boat is outfitted with versatile seating arrangements including multi-position seats on each side that can be configured for spotting, lounging, or café-style dining with side-mounted tables.
