Overview
The Manitou 23 Explode is a sporty pontoon boat designed to deliver both style and functionality for family outings and water activities. Our test model was equipped with a new Evinrude G2 250 horsepower engine featuring red side panels that complement the boat's side fencing and bimini top, enhancing its cohesive aesthetic.
Exterior Design and Features
Approaching the 2015 Manitou 23 Explode, the first notable features are the powder-coated aluminum rails and deck trim, which provide an upscale appearance and superior durability compared to standard aluminum rails that tend to oxidize over time. The foredeck is spacious enough to access the outboard cleats easily for docking purposes, with standard docking and navigation lights integrated into the side fencing. A standout exterior element is the powder-coated aluminum wakeboard arch with an integral bimini top, offering a solid, sturdy structure that can be lowered for trailering. The navigation light on the arch doubles as a tow pylon for wakeboarding activities.
