Hull Design and Exterior Features
The 23 Oasis is equipped with Manitou's VP performance tubes, which include an oversized 27-inch center tube positioned 5¼ inches lower than the two 23-inch outer tubes. This configuration creates a pivot point that allows the boat to lean into turns, delivering handling characteristics similar to a V-hull boat. Full-length lifting strakes with 7¼ inch chines improve planing times and cornering ability, while reinforcing stiffeners at the front of each tube protect against impact in choppy waters. A full-length splash plate prevents chop from striking the structural cross members, reducing the jarring effect commonly experienced with other pontoon designs.
