HERAKLES represents an exceptional opportunity: an iconic 50-meter performance yacht that has undergone an extensive 2025/2026 refit and technical upgrade program, addressing not only her appearance but many of the yacht's principal mechanical, propulsion, electrical, navigation and guest systems.
Delivered by Overmarine in 2009, HERAKLES is Hull 165/03 and one of the early examples of the celebrated Mangusta 165 series. Her unmistakable Stefano Righini profile combines the volume and presence of a 50-meter yacht with the aggressive lines, shallow draft and exhilarating performance for which the Mangusta Maxi Open series became famous.
What separates HERAKLES from other yachts of her generation-and positions her as one the most extensively upgraded Mangusta 165 currently available-is the depth of investment made throughout 2025 and 2026. Rather than concentrating solely on cosmetics, the program has extended from a complete exterior paint job and substantial teak replacement to major Kamewa waterjet overhauls, comprehensive service of all three MTU main engines, major generator servicing, tank work, rebuilt watermakers and shore-power equipment, upgraded navigation electronics, Starlink and extensive AV improvements.
The result is a Mangusta 165 that retains the character that made the model so successful while benefiting from an exceptional level of recent technical, mechanical and cosmetic investment.
Stepping aboard aft, HERAKLES immediately delivers the outdoor lifestyle expected from a yacht of this size. The broad aft deck is arranged as a genuine entertaining area rather than simply an entry point to the interior, with generous seating and lounging areas surrounding one of the yacht's two heated spa pools/Jacuzzis. The large hydraulic tender garage is positioned beneath the aft deck, while the expansive swim platform creates easy access to the water.
Through the aft sliding glass doors, the main salon demonstrates why the Mangusta 165 remains such an impressive platform. The enormous open-plan space is surrounded by large areas of glass, creating a natural connection between the interior and exterior while flooding the salon with natural light.
Generous lounge seating and cocktail areas transition into the yacht's formal dining space and bar, creating one continuous entertainment environment. As part of the recent refit, the entire main salon floor has been completely refinished, complementing extensive refinishing of the interior cabinetry and varnished surfaces and giving the principal guest area a considerably refreshed appearance.
The interior has further benefited from design upgrades by Marty Lowe, along with extensive AV modernization. Guest televisions have been replaced, Fusion audio systems installed, the master suite and cinema amplifiers upgraded, Starlink added and the onboard network upgraded.
Moving forward, the bridge maintains the commanding, performance-oriented character expected of a Mangusta while incorporating substantial modernization. Larger touchscreen bridge displays have been installed, the navigation computer replaced, TimeZero navigation updated, the depth sounder replaced and calibrated, and the wind instrumentation upgraded to a Furuno weather station.
Below deck, HERAKLES accommodates up to 12 guests in five staterooms, providing the volume and privacy expected aboard a considerably more conventional 50-meter superyacht while maintaining the sporting character of the Mangusta platform.
The impressive full-beam owner's suite is positioned amidships and is complemented by a private owner's office. The suite offers generous wardrobe and storage space together with two separate ensuite bathroom areas, including a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower arrangement.
Forward is the substantial VIP suite, while the remaining guest accommodation comprises additional double and versatile guest arrangements, all with ensuite facilities.
A particularly unusual feature for a yacht of this type is the dedicated cinema/media room. Rather than converting part of the main salon or sacrificing one of the principal entertainment areas, HERAKLES offers a purpose-designed cinema, adding another entirely separate guest environment.
The exterior layout provides multiple distinct areas for guests to gather or enjoy privacy. In addition to the expansive aft deck, the upper deck offers further lounging, dining and entertainment space.
Forward, HERAKLES offers one of the signature areas of the Mangusta 165: an exceptional private foredeck lounge and sunbathing area centered around the yacht's second heated Jacuzzi/spa pool. The arrangement creates a completely separate guest environment and is one of the features that makes the 165 feel considerably larger than a typical open yacht.
HERAKLES is powered by three MTU 16V4000 M90 diesel engines coupled to Kamewa waterjets, delivering the highspeed capability, shallow draft and smooth maneuverability for which the model became renowned. Historically published performance places the Mangusta 165 at approximately 34 knots maximum speed, with a cruising speed of 27 knots.
HERAKLES combines this performance pedigree with the space, accommodation and amenities of a true 50-meter yacht -and, following her extensive 2025/2026 program, presents a particularly compelling opportunity within today's Mangusta 165 market.

HERAKLES accommodates up to 12 guests across five staterooms, providing a particularly flexible arrangement for family use and entertaining.
Owner's Suite
The full-beam owner's suite occupies a substantial portion of the lower deck amidships and provides a private retreat separated from the yacht's principal social spaces. The suite incorporates a large berth, extensive wardrobe and storage space and two separate bathroom areas, including a Jacuzzi bath and central/separate shower arrangement. A private owner's office provides a dedicated workspace without compromising the bedroom or main salon and is an increasingly valuable feature for extended periods aboard.
VIP & Guest Accommodation
A substantial VIP suite is positioned forward and benefits from excellent volume, generous storage and its own ensuite facilities. Additional guest staterooms provide double and flexible sleeping arrangements, with ensuite facilities throughout, allowing HERAKLES to comfortably accommodate families and groups of guests.
Cinema
HERAKLES' dedicated cinema/media room is a standout feature within the Mangusta 165 platform. Rather than incorporating the cinema into the main salon, it provides an entirely separate entertainment environment and has benefited from the yacht's recent AV modernization, including upgraded amplification.
Main Salon & Dining
The main salon is one of HERAKLES' defining interior spaces. Large windows and the broad aft glass doors create exceptional natural light and maintain a strong visual connection with the water. The generous beam allows the salon to incorporate multiple social areas without compromising circulation. A large lounge arrangement is complemented by cocktail areas, a substantial bar and formal dining, creating a space equally suited to relaxed family use or larger-scale entertaining. The area has benefited substantially from the 2025/2026 program, including complete refinishing of the entire salon floor, extensive refinishing of cabinetry and varnished surfaces, updated entertainment equipment and new televisions.
Aft Deck
The expansive aft deck provides a major outdoor entertainment area with generous loose furniture, lounging and social spaces. One of HERAKLES' two heated spa pools/Jacuzzis is incorporated into this area, allowing the aft deck to transition easily between daytime lounging and evening entertaining. Direct access to the large swim platform connects the guest areas with the water, while the hydraulic tender garage allows the yacht's tender and equipment to be stored away from the principal exterior spaces.
Upper Deck
The upper deck provides another substantial guest environment with space for dining, lounging and entertaining. Its elevated position creates a more private atmosphere while providing extensive views underway or at anchor.
Foredeck
The foredeck is among HERAKLES' most impressive exterior areas. A large private lounge and sunbathing arrangement surrounds the second heated Jacuzzi/spa pool, creating a forward guest area more typically associated with substantially larger yachts. The separation between the forward, upper and aft guest areas allows different groups to enjoy the yacht simultaneously without crowding any single space.
At the heart of HERAKLES are three MTU 16V4000 M90 diesel engines coupled to Kamewa waterjet propulsion. The
triple-waterjet configuration provides the immediate acceleration and performance expected from a Mangusta while
eliminating conventional exposed propellers and allowing a comparatively shallow-draft configuration.
All three main engines have recently undergone their 1,700-hour service, including plate-cooler servicing and targeted
borescope inspections. The propulsion package has received equally significant attention, with all three Kamewa
waterjets undergoing a major overhaul, together with replacement of the feedback encoders and alignment work.
