1991 Mako (Renovated)

The original hull is dated 1991 and was a 2110 Model. In 2015 we (Island Boat Works of Cape Coral) renovated the boat and did the following:

1. Removed the console and opened the forward deck area.
2. Repaired the internal drain system beyond the forward deck area and connecting the forward fishbox to the main bilge. The water soaked foam flotation forward of the bulkhead was removed.
3. New 115 gallon fuel tank was installed. It was treated internally with an epoxy sealer and externally with X-line truck bed coating. It has a digital fuel sender. Tank is currently full.
4. The boat was completely rewired. The main fuse panel is located on a hatch on the front of the console. There is a single in-line fuse under the console. That serves one of the bilge pumps (the one that is to automatically activate).
5. The batteries are located in what was the original bait well located behind the leaning post. That was a really dumb idea because the hatch has always leaked and is so small that you cannot get your hands in there to do work. I would advocate replacing it with a hatch that will open the entire area for service. They also located two circuit breakers there (another dumb idea). The batteries and circuit breakers are relatively new.
6. When the forward deck was replaced, we installed a macerator pump in the back wall of the fishbox.
7. The transom was replaced with conposite material and it was closed in creating two large cooler boxes.
8. We added an Armstrong swim bracket which is color matched to the wrap on the hull.
9. The engine, a Merc 250 Pro-XS two stroke was added. This engine has extremely low hours.
10. We added a rope locker in the bow with a through-bow Lewmar winch. I have 200? of yacht braid anchor line (but the chain is the wrong size for the winch) I have a replacement for that.
11. We added a new bowrail and all new hardware boat-wide. We also replaced the rubrail.
12. We replaced all lights. Running, cockpit and floodlights. We also added led lights in all compartments.
13. The battery switch in located in the rear starboard side compartment. The oil fill and tank are located there also.
14. The port side rear compartment houses the Racor fuel filter, fuel line (bulb) and the washdown and live well pumps. The live well is a free standing unit which sits on the transom bracket when in use. The hose feeding it is in the port side compartment.
15. Access to these pumps, sea cocks and the two 1000 Gal per hour bilge pumps is had through two circular access ports in the rear main deck in front of the transom.
16. The leaning post was custom made and has side and under-seat storage. There are also two tackle boxes and cup holders.
17. The console was custom modified to add the vertical plane for the compass, two Garmin screens, VHF Radio and Mercury smart gauge (Recently replaced). The center houses the vintage pull switches. The power to that bank of switches is controlled by one switch marked ?Accy.?
18. Steering is hydraulic and controls are by stainless cable mechanical. All controls, steering and engine wiring are channeled through the transom into the bracket and then to the engine.
19. There is a mister system built into the tee top. The pump is located inside the console and the hose for water has to be run out the rear panel and around the starboard side of the console and plugs into the drain of the front console cooler (seat). There is also a wrap around windshield that attaches to the tee top.
20. The searchlight is located on the top of the bow rail and is operated with the joystick on the dash.
21. The tee top fabric probably needs replacing, but is in one piece at this time. There are two outriggers with aluminum poles. The radar dome and all antennas are up there as well.
22. The trailer is a Boatmaster commercial grade. The bunks have a military grade polymer on them to ease the launch load, HOWEVER don?t ever move the boat without a tiedown. The boat can literally fall off the trailer . The carpet on the bunks needs to be replaced. The winch is new. Lights and tires were new one year ago. Trailer has surge brakes with stainless rotors. All work has been done by Boatmaster.
23. Last July I had a 100 hr. service done on the engine along with a lot of other stuff. That is where the problems come from. I needed to replce the radar dome and one of the 4210 screens. The Merc. Smartgauge was also replaced. Whenver they did that, they somehow removed the data feed to the network so the gauges for fuel, RPM water pressure no longer display on the screens. The smart gauge does show these things but it is too cumbersome to use. That gauge is to tell you when you have optimized your trim/tilt/rpm for gas mileage. The power cable on the starboard side screen is the wrong one and doesn?t seem to power that screen up. It used to power up when you turned on the Port side screen. Now that one has turned black (from heat) and you can?t read it. There is a second VHF located inside the console but I don?t know if it works.
24. The stereo is a JL Audio with a remote control on the dash. The main unit and power amp are inside the console. The speakers and sub woofer are on sides of the console and forward step deck.
25. The trim tabs are Bennet Hydraulic. Located in the Starboard rear compatment.
