The Maine Cat 33 is a highly customized version of the popular Maine Cat 30, built for a very knowledgeable and detail-oriented owner. The hulls were stretched 3' and propulsion is provided by twin Yanmar diesels with sail drives. Performance was a priority, and was easily achieved with 100% core-cell composite construction, increased sail area, a 10:1 length/beam ratio in the hulls and a single daggerboard in the starboard hull. With her upgraded sail inventory of jib/genoa/screacher and a 366 sq. ft. mainsail, speeds in the low teens are easily reached in the right conditions.
The bridgedeck is well thought-out and provides a hard enclosure forward and on the sides, transitioning to a soft Eisenglass enclosure aft to allow for an open air "back porch" feeling when the weather cooperates.
Offered at a 50/50 split to reciprocating brokers.
